Can''t explain this but gstreamer-0.10-plugins-bad 0.10.10-1ubuntu1 was
not installed
libdvdread4 is v4.1..3-4ubuntu1
So with that in mind I installed gstreamer0-10-plugins-bad and now the
DVD menus work fine.
Can't say for sure but my guess is that it was the missing gstreamer-
plugins-bad that
DVD menu is supposed to be handled by resindvd plugin which is part of
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad package.
@bigal,
Can you please provide any additional information like version of packages
gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad, libdvdread4? What outout do you get when you launch
totem from command line? Als

found the upstream one, dvd menu in totem or gstreamer doesn't work and
that's known, the other bug which was linking to the upstream report was
closed since too much noise was generated and it was a master bug of
like 5 different things, i'm liking the upstream one and reassigning to
the right com
I couldn't find a dupe either that is why I created a new one. Tried it
on my 8.10 32 bit machine today and all was fine. Also did a update
dist-upgrade today & there was some new totem files but the problem is
still there.
If I can do anything else let me know.
