With karmic akonadiconsole is contained in kdepim-runtime, the menu-
entry akonadiconsole.desktop is shipped with kdepim-runtime-data, both
are depends of kmail. So please get for a minimum the desktop-entry out
of dependencies, as it is confusing normal users. Same for
akonaditray.desktop menu ent
This bug was fixed in the package kdepim - 4:4.2.2-0ubuntu1

I think akonadiconsole is packaged with kmail. Am I reading this wrong:

Well, it's not. It's installed with akonadi-kde. KMail depends on akonadi-kde,
though.
It would make sense to put Akonadi console in kdepim-dev since it's really a
development-oriented tool.
