Weird, I thought I posted that. Must have forgotten to actually press
the "save changes" button. /etc/network/interfaces has not been touched
since installation and contains a grand total of two lines:
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

And if I may point out this one minute gap in the syslog:
Feb 26 12:01:52 tardis acpid: client connected from 5783[0:0]
Feb 26 12:03:02 tardis NetworkManager: Waking up...
That is the minute that I waited before clicking "enable Networking".
Note that there is no log message from networkmanag

The log looks very normal.
Wpuld you please also attach your /etc/network/interfaces ? It looks like you
have something misconfigured there.

I took the liberty of removing the day or so of syslog before the
suspend. I just suspended and immediately resumed at 12:01.
This was with a cable connected to the ethernet port and using that for
network access, no connection via wireless, although the card was
enabled. The cable was not touched
Would you please go through susped/resume, enable networkign and then
attach your /var/log/syslog to this bug?
