Anyway, there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you
reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the
updates. It would help us a lot if you could test the current Ubuntu
development version (10.10). If you can test it, and it is still an
issue, we would apprecia
the settings don't get lost!
The trackpoint is recognized as a new trackpoint with default settings. After
reboot your settings should be active again - if they're made permanent.
The device number can be recognized via:
/lib/udev/path_id $(find /sys/devices/platform/i8042 -name name | xargs gre
