I know this bug is related to nvidia driver, but I got a similar problem
with xorg-driver-fglrx.
I tried to ireplace the xorg-driver-fglrx for non-free fglrx-driver:
# apt-get install module-assistant fglrx-driver fglrx-kernel-src
...The following extra packages will be installed:
fglrx-atieven
I still get:
