@Again617,
In your case, the issue is with the REGISTER process: Ekiga fails to
register to Ekiga.NET, consequently the attempt to call the echo test is
refused (that's an Ekiga.NET policy, there's nothing wrong with it).
The relevant part in the log is:
2010/04/19 10:56:11.535 0:08.445
Ok, I have tried it again with the same results.
I have attached my debugging information same as last time. I opened
Ekiga with ekiga -4 2>output.txt, signed in, attempted to call echo test
twice and then quit.

Hi,
We have a patch wich modify the network part of the audio and video
streams when behind a NAT, this patch might solve the issue. Would you
be kind enough to test it?
Get Ekiga 3.2.6 for Karmic with this patch here (same code as Ekiga 3.2.6 with

Same problem: trying to call Echo test hangs up immediately. Suggestion
of disabling some codecs in comment 18 doesn't help anything. I'm also

connection? Though this problem persists if I kill pulseaudio, and other
audio apps

Same here. I'm on Jaunty though. I didn't want to open another bug

I'm getting the same thing with Karmic - appears to be on-line but the

I'm having this same problem in Karmic Koala. Signing in seems to work.
When I try to call the echo service the call disconnects immiediately.
I don't think that this is an audio issue because even Skype works using
its default settings.

Hi,
There many different issues here. I will stick to the first entry:
"when I make echo test ,the call gets disconnected immediately.
I use ubuntu 8.10."
For other issues, please open new bugs or we wont be able to solve this
one properly. I will close this one if we can solve the issue above.
I just did an 'apt-get update && apt-get upgrade' and now ekiga works for me,
at least as far as the
echo test is concerned. I have pulse-audio configured, in ekiga audio-device
setting is all set to
'Default'. This was with a normal headset, I still need to test my USB-headset

I am using a fresh Jaunty install.
I also tried "apt-get --purge remove ekiga" followed by "apt-get install
ekiga", but it did not help.
I am using a USB headset, too, but it doesn't work, with or without.
I have tried to run with and without pulse-audio, as I suspected this to be the
problem
My symptoms:could receive inbound calls but not place outbound
My steps to resolve:Recreate configuration fresh for Jaunty
My observation: Possible problem in the upgrade between Intrepid to

I am using a USB attached headset and find it works much better in

Testing the echo service with Ekiga 3.2 in Jaunty is not working for me either.

Was looking for a similar issue to report against.
In my configuration, I had previous release of Ekiga running on
