This is really strange:
The conf.-file, you mentioned contains in my case a default rate of 44100.
But the wrong pitch only happens after suspend to RAM or disc!

Could this be a problem with Pulseaudio? On my Thinkpad T30 I have to
add "default-sample-rate = 48000" to /etc/pulse/daemon.conf. However
this happens all the time, not just after resume.
