Okay, once I had an internet connection (via my last post workaround), I
updated via Synaptic. With the updates, it seems to have fixed the
problem. The default /etc/resolv.conf generated by NetworkManager now
works in connecting me to the internet! Woot!

So, if you edit /etc/resolv.conf from it's default:

You can now access the internet as usual. Very strange. (Than
Oh, and other programs cannot access the internet (i.e. pidgin,
synaptic, etc.), so I can't check for updates to network-manager.
