Good afternoon,
In Feisty the default application for ripping music is K3b. I have
successfully ripped several CDs w/ K3b into both Ogg format and MP3
format. Are you still having problems?

Hello,
I am currently running Kubuntu 6.10 and am able to burn CDs using K3b
witout it crashing. K3B identifies my device as a Matshita UJDA760
DVD/CDR combo drive with Firmware version 1.51.
I am wondering what the status of this bug on your computer currently is
and how we can further address
