Ok thanks, please keep us posted. but as said the new message
notification of evolution of known to be broken and tend to report wrong
counts, in jaunty should be better though, thanks marco.

Pedro, I made a test with Intrepid and the issue is still present. In fact,
after having configure my pop account, the number of new notified messages,
displayed in the notification area, were 45 while evolution downloaded 51 new
messages (and this last number was ok).
Tested with Intrepid and e
Pedro, I only use Inbox so, I say again, my issue is not the same as the one of
bug #251417.
I will test "my" bug on Intrepid to see if the issue (with my email
configurations) is still present in next version of Evolution.

Where are you downloading those emails? Only the Inbox folder works for the new
message notification, if your emails are going to another folder as well they
are not going to be counted, that's exactly what's being tracked on bug 251417,

Pedro, also today I downloaded 57 new emails but the emails notified in the
notification area sayd 52.
The bug happens almost every day and, as I sayd in my previous comment, isn't a
duplicate of other bugs

Pedro, the bug #251417 doesn't correspond to what I have reported. In fact the
issue I reported is referred to a wrong number of new emails notified in the
notification bar while the bug reported in #251417
