Hardy has reached its EOL last year, so I am afraid this patch will not get
backported yo hardy...
As it is fixed in the newer releases. I'll close this report as fixed.

Which devscripts version are you using? This was fixed upstream in
2.10.21 so unless it's recurred should be fixed in intrepid and above.
