Hi,
The problem is not only german...
It occurs today on Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10.
Many users have been stuck for one year.
Isn't it possible to update the packages and add the missing dependency ?

I had the same problem, but installing libstc++5 solved the issue.
The German-language Sunbird/Lightning-page mentions this caveat:
