I can confirm this one. I have HP Compaq 6710b with integrated Intel

The machine is not locked up. I can strace X and see that it still
reads keyboard and mouse events. However killing off the clients
doesn't change the display. Killing off X hangs the machine, requiring

twice a day, roughly. I wonder if it is because I have UXA enabled?

I also have a X61 Tablet, and I don't have these problems. The two
differences I can spot is that I use 32-bit (i386) and that I don't have
a VGA connected (I have it in the Ultrabase every now and then,
