Dato, xdg-open works fine here in Debian + GNOME (although I don't have
mplayer installed).
I think this would be accepted long after FeatureFreeze. That is in
February 19th, but I'd say until end of March is fine, but the sooner,
the better (so we can test it).

Well, I think that optimizations doesn't help to make useful bug reports
but now amule package use --disable-debug, no?
If I am not mistaken, all packages in the Ubuntu repositories are built
with optimizations. Packages to help in bug reports are those that end
in -dbg and have debugging informat
