when i did the gdb on totem, the totem player hung there and then turned
grey, when i quit it shut down. but i still got the segmentation fault
on this also, i will work on the valgrind tonight and post it either
tonight or tomarrow.

I can do the gstreamer movie player but i will have to get the valgrind
tonight, im at work and cant connect my comp to the internet, im using
my work laptop to try and figure this out, but i will get the valgrind
tonight and will post the gstreamer in a few.

Thank you for providing the backtrace for Terminal. You wrote that you
get a segmentation fault also when running gstreamer. Could you please
attach a backtrace for the movie player, as well? Could you please
attach a valgrind log for both programs as requested in my previous
