Maybe that is default setting since if every media is indexed when is mounted
to /media
that would mostly kill your usability of that media.
Also, i think that, that database of files on /media is mostly useless if media
is not present and so.
It would be nice if user could easily set that behav
I think this is because /media is meant to be temporary mounts where as
long term mounts (such as static external hdd) should me mounted to /mnt
probably through fstab.
Its probably still a bug tho.
