Yes, and I just tested it again by removing my openoffice.org
configuration directory eg 'rm -rf ~/.openoffice.org' and then
reinstalled OpenCards again. It did not show up after installing until I
restarted OpenOffice.org Impress and then it was there to use and I
verified the commands worked.

I tried that originally, and it didn't work. Were you installing Open Cards
with no other extensions already installed?

It worked for me fine without having to install another extension, I
just had to quit and restart OpenOffice.org.
