I still can't uncheck my repositories under the 'Third-Party Software' tab in
Software Sources.
It just deletes them instead of unchecking them.

Just got another update for python-apt and then did a restart. After the
restart i checked for more updates and the icon in the top right says
there are updates but i get this message with Update Manager:
"Could not initialize the package information
An unresolvable problem occurred while initial
Update came through for python-apt a little while ago but its still
broken. All the stuff under the first tab(Ubuntu Software) is now
checked(not sure if they are ALL supposed to be) but the sources list
under 'Third-Party Software' tab is empty and you cannot add sources.

I can get a list of software sources by running in a terminal cat
/etc/apt/sources.list, I can also edit the list using nano, so all is
not lost.

Here's the trace from my crash, which I suspect is related to the
breakage you see. python-apt was merged with Debian earlier today.

It is of course possible i got a bunch of updates i wasnt suppose to
from all those sources being checked.
All those Sources i had may have gotten there from when i tried to
install Gnome-do 0.8.
