Would you be willing to do a few more tests? I'd be interested to know
if this issue remains with the latest pre-release of Jaunty 9.04
(currently Alpha3) - http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/jaunty/ . It
contains a newer 2.6.28 based kernel and I imagine you should be able to

unfortunately persists.
