Exactt, are you still using the Edgy version of xorg? Are you able to
try stock Feisty, including Feistys xorg?
Ernst, I assume you are using a completely stock Feisty system?

i also had seg faults using compiz on edgy amd64. so i just installed
0.3.3 as suggested from the feisty repo updating libc and libdbus stuff
as well. now the seg faults are gone but still (i somehow remember i had
this before) compiz is missing the window decoration...
using a nvidia 6600GT with
I'm using the nvidia-driver 1.0-9629 with Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals"
"True" and every time I start compiz (1:0.3.3-0ubuntu2~git2006112) I get
a segfault. I do not have the wobbly plugin enabled.
I have an Nvidia 7800 GS.

Thank you for your bug report. As generic compiz as now been uploaded to
Feisty (compiz-quinn is now known as beryl), we need to see if your bug
is still present. If you can test the version of compiz in feisty
(1:0.3.3-0ubuntu2~git2006112 or later) and tell us if you bug still
exists, please do. P
Have you tried compiz from Edgy? Are you still having the same problem with
that version?
