I dont know why, but my system seems to boot up flawlessly now. Maybe its because of the changes made in ubuntu-jaunty in the last days, maybe its related to the splash. The only thing I changed was removing the " quiet splash " options in grub. Thanks & keep up the good work, David. -- kern
