I gave it another shot with 9.04 LiveDVD and it was already broken back
then so it appears to be a regression since 8.10 or Linux 2.6.27
respectively. I also tried installing Linux 2.6.32-rc4 from Ubuntu
kernel PPA and the bug's still there.

Until 9.10β WiFi has always been working perfectly fine for me, but now
I keep getting "direct probe to AP timed out". Relationship to bad
signal reception or interference is highly unlikely since the router is
sitting right in front of me so signal strength's 5 by 5 and I'm barely
reading only 1 o
