I have successfully installed a Cannon iP5200 printer from this computer
with Ubuntu 7.04, 7.10, 8.04, and 8.10 through a router which is also
connected to an XP machine. Upgrading to 9.04, I am having no luck. It
seems to install, and when I do the "test page" it processed to 7% and
brings up a
Till Kamppeter, turning it off then on does not fix the problem. -Doug

I have discovered what I guess is a "work around". In
System>Administration>Printing, I right click on the printer icon and select
Properties. Under Device URI, I click "Change". After a period of waiting,
the computer seems to set a new URI and then all is well... for a while. What
is hap
dsiddens (and anyone else here who has still the problem), does turning
off the printer and turning it on again solve the problem?

This is probably unrelated, but...
I was unable to print to a network attached ML-2510 (through a PS-121 v2), and
found the current bug.
But then I decided to check the properties to see if something changed with the
upgrade, and I noticed there was a newer print-driver available in the
databas
dsiddens, your print queue was full of jobs, therefore your test job did
not get processed.
Can you delete all the jobs from the queue (you can alternatively do
"cancel -a" on the command line) and also turn off and turn on the
router and the printer and then try the troubleshooting wizard again?

Upon Steve's request, I have created a separate bug, #348316, which is
symptomatically similar but not involving network printing
configurations. All work on USB printing should occur there.

you're reporting related?
My USB printer works fine with jaunty. Incompatibility with a
particular printer model is not a release blocker.
