@FriedChicken I have made exactly the same experience with intel gm45. The XServer always failed to start with 2.6.28-8. After hours to get the problem i started 2.6.28-6 and it works. To compare where the difference between 2.6.28-6 and 2.6.28-8 is, i started 2.6.28-8 again. AND it works too! I
