According to the upstream report this would be solved with the next
release.
As this is not really a bug in gnome-app-install i would mark it as
invalid there.

After making some tests i've found this:
After installing an Adobe Air application the /usr/share/app-
install/desktop is modified, adding a .desktop file for the installed
application (i'm attaching one in case it helps)
if i run from terminal gnome-app-install i've got this
gnome-app-install
Sadly the bug tracker system from adobe doesn't cover air products, only
flash and flex (not bad at all).
So i've had reported this issue via

So let's wait for a response from upstream about the issue. Meanwhile
i've added gnome-app-in

I also installed an application with Adobe Air, finetune, which didn't
work. Ubuntu 8.04 is my distribution. Fixed the problem by reinstalling
gnome-app-install, as described in the link.

I can confirm that I have experienced the same problem. The suggestion
of the reinstall mentioned at the link above solved the issue for me as
