Fresh install Kubuntu 11.04,
files pci.ids and usb ids is not in /usr/share/hwdata (as smolt expected) but
in /usr/share/misc/
workaround: ln -s /usr/share/misc/ /usr/share/hwdata

Are there Ubuntu's Smolt packages or not? I find link to

target page doesn't exist. Do you know anything about this matter?

I heard that there was some talk about integrating hardware profiles
into launchpad. It would be nice if this work was implemented so that it
was at least somewhat compatible with smolt.

there the current status and how I think we should move forward. If
