I found, after having this problem, when I reinstalled my Ubuntu (9.10) I fixed
this issue by clicking on the "Advanced..." button before the "Install" button
on the last step. In the Advanced Options pop-up window; be sure the "Install
boot loader" box is checked, AND the "Device for boot loade
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to

changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem
may have been fixed
