I had a look on gcompris.
When it has a translation listed which you don't have installed, it does say so
with a little red cross to the left of the writing, but it would be good if at
the bottom of the page is said something like:
- Requires package language-pack-gnome-ru-base
I'll have a loo
The problem still exists in Jaunty as well, nothing have been changed.
