I take some test archives like in post #3 and other tests. There are no
errors. File-roller work correct.
Ubuntu 9.10 x64.

I have this bug too.
I have installed a package p7zip-full. After that at creation of archive by
right click file-roller gives out the message "Во время добавления файлов в
архив произошла ошибка."
After deinstalling p7zip-full creating archive by right click works correct.
