I have passed a memtest on my RAM and no error was returned.
I have no other machine to reproduce it.
This problem was occured after a dist-upgrade from Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 8.10
The compiler flags are in the make.log attachment.

if other users cannot reproduce it, then it is normally a memory
problem. maybe build this on another machine and if you can reproduce
it, attach the preprocessed source and the compiler flags used to build
the package.

I test with only one RAM stick but it's not working better.
I will change the affected package from nvidia-graphics-drivers-177 to dkms.
Perhaps it's an include who failed, but I don't understand where.

That version of gcc (4.3.2) is ok. What I suggested is to take out 1 RAM
stick and try with only one.
