You can request a sponsor by ubuntu-universe-sponsors only for packages
already in Ubuntu repository, or to add a new package from Debian
repository to Ubuntu repository. For a completely new package, you
should find a sponsor with REVU, like you done. Unfortunately, there is
not enough reviewer on
The package on Debian is nearly the same package as on REVU, because I worked
together with Andrea Gasparini to make it ready for the repositories.
So, the Debian team was faster in including the package to the repositories...
The package I currently submitted to Launchpad is much better than the
Unsubscribed ubuntu-universe-sponsors, please use REVU to find a
sponsor.
As a side note, you should base your work on the debian package already
on debian-multimedia.org, and only if necessary, add modifications to
fill Ubuntu needs. If no modification is needed, it's only a sync
request, which s

But I'm still looking for an universe sponsor.
