ethana2 Yes, GE shows the fonts right with DRI disabled, but of course,
it is to slow.
I have tried with openSUSE 11.1 and GE nor Stellarium have any problem
:-)

Have you tried commenting out DRI in your xorg.conf? If you do and the
characters are displayed, it would look to be a graphics driver bug.

ethana2 I have downloaded your packages on an Intel G31 using Intrepid,
version 0.10.0-0ubuntu2.
I have only one problem, but I think it has nothing to do with you package nor
with Stellarium upstream.
I cant see some characters, I think it is related with this bug with also
occurs in Googleeart
