the small example would be pygtk code showing what is the wrong
behaviour, it seems that the gramps hackers should open a pygtk bug
upstream if they figured it's due to it

Because of the tests done with the help of the Gramps Developers.
The repo version, latest stable version and trunk versions of gramps have been
tested on hardy and intrepid.
The only people able to reproduce it are those running intrepid.
Again, what do you mean by "small pygtk code example sho
why do you think that the issue is a pygtk one and not gramps one?
having a small pygtk code example showing the bug would be useful to
make sure that's not a code bug

Could you please explain how I should produce a simple test case ? There is
detail on the above link on how to reproduce the problem.
Are there any commands I can run in the terminal that will produce useful
output ?
Is there any output in the logs that would be of use ?

an upstream issue, could you open the bug on bugzilla.gnome.org where
the people writting the code will read it?

I have done a clean install of Ubuntu 8.04 and installed all updates.
Then installed Gramps 3.0.1-1 (from repositories), gramps_3.0.3-1_Ubuntu804.deb
(the latest stable release) and the Trunk version.
Carried out all the tests that produced the original problem, but was not able
to reproduce the
