I don't know if the kernel (ubuntu's intrepid 2.6.27-7-generic) was
compilied with SYSFS_DEPRECATED=n, but pmount is using
/lib/libsysfs.so.2.

I guess you have SYSFS_DEPRECATED=n (or something of this spirit) in
your kernel configuration ? If that is the case, the bug is known, and
will not be fixed before a while. The whole problem is that basically
libsysfs should not be used, but pmount was initially written using it.
