On my desktop Ubuntu, XFS is painfully slow with every kernel above 2.6.30 when it comes to big file removal. This was true for all the 2.6.31 versions and its the same with the latest 2.6.32-9 too. So the issue is still definitely there. -- Very low XFS performance with Ubuntu 8.10 kernel https:
