Unfortunately apport-collect crashes on the system, but now i disabled
the barrier support and will make some test to see whether it helps or

On my desktop Ubuntu, XFS is painfully slow with every kernel above
2.6.30 when it comes to big file removal. This was true for all the
2.6.31 versions and its the same with the latest 2.6.32-9 too. So the
issue is still definitely there.

This bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in
it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? Can you try
with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO CD images are

I noticed a similar thing.
The installer was a lot faster (>=2x or so) when installing to a ext3 root
versus installing with xfs root.
XFS usually shouldn't be that much slower than ext3 I guess.
