There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and
your problem may have been fix

The CD booted. But the B43 driver for my Broadcom card does not work at
all in LIVE mode. How is one supposed to install wireless drivers?
Installing the other driver requires a reboot, but I don't think this
would work in LIVE mode.
So impossible to test.

Well, I tried. But I cannot get my MiniNote to boot off of the DVD. I looked at
the DVD, and it seems to have all the necessary files. I boot, hit F9, select
the DVD. It flashes for as while, but then I get booted off of the hard disk.
What could be wrong?

I can boot off of the old Ubuntu DVD, so something is wrong with the
9.04 beta distro. My burning program did check thye DVD after burning
too. And I made it from the ISO properly. The distro files are all there
on the DVD. But it seems to not be bootable.

reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Jaunty Jackalope. It would help us greatly if you
