Hi all,
I have the same problem with all 2.6.27 kernel series.
The kernel I'm using now is a 2.6.24 version. All the ubuntu new kernel
updates fail to boot on my machine (amd64, 4GBs).
The last kernels availables are:
- 2.6.24-21 (ok)
- 2.6.27-7 (PANIC: early exception)
- 2.6.27-9 (P
Seems this bug was fixed with linux-image-2.6.27-8, we can close this
now.

If boot kernel 2.6.24 with generated initrd img, I got another kernel
panic, but the error message is different, please check out the picture.

Hi Leann,
Thanks for you response, even I don't think there isn't any difference,
but, here is the screen photo. Remember, I already remove the "splash
quiet" options from grub, and, I already tried the latest kernel of
ubuntu.
Anything else you want please let me know.

When you try booting with the 2.6.27 Intrepid kernel and get the kernel
panic, would you be able to take a digital photo to capture the entire
kernel panic and attach it to this bug report?
