this instructions worked for me and my terratec dmx 6fire
instructions are in italian...
hope you find similiar instructions for your soundcard.
at all it's a kind of horror doing this manualy.

Hi, here is an update as of 12 November 2008
I followed the instructions given at the following link today

Now sound works in the Chromium game on my Audigy 4 PCI sound card, although it
sounds a bit odd. However, I have not been able to get the so
having same issue with teraatec dmx 6fire tried several hings, nothing
works. the volume meter shows that there is a stream, but i can't here
anything in any application if i switch on "add virtual output device
for simultaneous on all local sound cards". if this is switched off at
least vlc is wor

I have the same issue with an Audigy 2 PCI card.
The card is not detected at all, seems not to exist in hardinfo!
I will remove the card and use the on-board sound chip instead.
