I had that too. At first I thought it was my PS3 screwing up. But then I
thought it was my CD media, so I burned another CD. Still failed. So I
was like hey, I installed yellow dog, fedora core 10 on a dvd, so I
burned ubuntu 8.10 onto a DVD and it worked!
So just burn ubuntu onto a dvd and you sh
