I am also unable to recreate the original bug in hardy with 0.70.9 - my
CD mounts as /media/cdrom1 (under VMware).
Version 0.70.10 from hardy-proposed also works for me and so if it
resolves the issue for you and as it has no ill side effects for me, it
might as well be pushed to -updates.

Could you please run: "moutn" and check where the CD is mounted? I
suspect it might be a cornercase issue for people wihtout a cdrom mount
entry in /etc/fstab (my test system did not have one).
