I was able to compile the latest gadmin-proftpd package on ubuntu 8.10
without too much trouble & it works great.

Not a fix, but while a fix gets developed/posted, i recommend webadmin.
But yes, I would love to have a gnome ftp administration tool.

Same problem in Intrepid, kernel 2.6.27-7-generic. But the strangest is that
when I launch gprotpd from a terminal, sometimes I just get a segmentation
fault, sometimes a gtk error comes with the segmentation fault
((gadmin-proftpd:14747): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_entry_set_text: assertion
`GTK_IS_
Confirmed, same behaviour as alecwh stated. I'm using Intrepid - latest kernel
2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Tue Nov 4 19:33:20 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux

Confirmed in Intrepid. I get the error message "Segmentation fault" when
running in the terminal. The window pops up for maybe .3 seconds before
it closes.
Is this going to be fixed soon?
