Setup is as follows:
With the manually entered auto eth0 enabled.
There is no nm-applet visible even though system manager says there is
and it's sleeping. Doing /etc/init.d/NetworkManager restart then make
the nm-applet visible till the next time you boot say the network is
unmanaged (I think).
