i've been using audacious 2.3 since ubuntu 10.04 is out, and i can say
that i haven't seen this bug again.
so, as the message suggest, maybe is fixed.

The "UNSUPPORTED VERSION" string you can see is just a default "build
id" to indicate that the build was not done by the Audacious developers.
The Ubuntu packager could replace that string with a different
identifier. E.g. I set it to "Fedora package".

but (alas...) I noticed that Audacious 2.1.0 is an UNSUPPORTED VERSION.
Any chance to get some hints on how to resolve the issue or where to

I'm having the same problem. I'll be playing a list of mp3 files in
Audacious 2.1.0 and it will just stop at random. If I click play, it
will start the track over and it plays fine but will stop randomly later
in another track. I've noticed the same problem in Movie Player if I
have a series of
There's at least one deadlock condition that affects users of Audacious
2.1 and older when producing some CPU load while playing music. alsa-
lib's snd_pcm_avail_update() returns ridiculously high values when it
happens (> 98000), and snd_pcm_writei() doesn't return while waiting
in poll().

~/.config/audacious, but it didn't help.

i have exactly the same problem. i did a reinstall, delete preference
(.audacious and others) but i end up with the same situation over and
