Guidance Power Manager has been removed from Kubuntu 10.04 and onwards
since it is unmaintained. Unfortunately, this means that no new features
or bugfixes will be made.

Can you please try to close the power manager in the panel, open a
terminal and run "guidance-power-manager" there. Please post any
terminal output after a crash.
