Could you please turn off the splash screen while booting and remove the
quiet option from the boot line, so that all information is displayed.
Howto:
While Grub shows the available boot option(you may need to press ESC to get
that list) go to the Ubuntu and press [e], in the next screen choose t
more info: crashes after reboot . but not from shutdown (OFF)
my laptop uses VGA intel 3100
