I know of this bug, I had these problems (under windows xp) immediately
after I got this notebook. After I applied said update (it was a
firmware update of the NIC, which I did myself with guidance from the
tech support), these problems were gone under windows. There were also
no problems

I am also affected by this bug - since upgrading to Intrepid. Did not
happen with hardy on same hardware. Does not happen with Win* XP Pro
installed on the same machine (different partition), so I assume
hardware is OK. Does, however, happen with the official Intrepid live CD
as well, so it is most
