Are you still having this problem. I cannot reproduce on Macbook Pro 3,1
using Intrepid Ibex 8.10. The F6 key (shows numlock) lights and the
number pad on the keyboard works fine.
Please advise.

The F6 key had "num lock" written on it and, depending on your pommed
settings, is activated via one keystroke or Fn+F6. I have mine set-up to
work on one click, but it doesn't work either way.

Can you clarify what key you mean when you talk about the Num Lock key?
There is no key marked "Num Lock" on the Macbook Pro keyboard... Are you
using F6? Did you use the Fn key in combination with F6?
