Unfortunately I have no possibility to check this again as I have no
external monitor at this moment. If I'll be able to get one (or connect
my laptop somewhere) I'll do this, but I don't know when will it be.

test if it still occurs on Lucid?

I think I'm having this bug as well in GNOME - Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit & Ubuntu 8.10

When I go to System . Preferences > Display only shows one monitor. The

file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to
your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
