Manually implementing the Patch from Bug 251031 fixes crashes on adding
mailboxes for me - marking as duplicate of Bug 251031.

evolution 2.23.5 crashes
Why this bug is only with Medium importance and Inconfirmed state? It
makes Evolution unusable for plenty of users. When you have another
mailboxes on the server, the directly build-in notification in evolution
is unusable (monitors only Inbox). As I read in Bug 251031, the patch
exists for mandri
The symptoms are the same, yes. When I subscribe an evolution-folder in
mail-notification, evolution crashes and I can't restart it anymore
unless I unsubsribe the folder in mail-notification.

this is just one among the serious problems this release of Evolution
has (maybe we could call it "Devolution"). Please try to fix those bugs

I too can confirm this bug on my Intrepid 8.10 AMD64 with full updates
as of today (Oct 23). I do not know any debugging steps.

After adding the evolution folder (for example INBOX) in mail-
notification-evolution setup dialog, evolution crashed down. Then every
other new start of evolution while mail-notification applet was running
ended with crash immediately after displaying summary of folders in
evolution. Without mail-
