My report is also network related. The error messages after the long time out list dhcp client errors, so I don't think ALSA is really involved. My PC shuts down quickly on my office network, but takes minutes on an Aztech DSL router, so this bug depends on the dhcp server type -- Shutdown pauses

I have been getting this too with an Intel 82801DB/DBL/DBM audio controller. (NEC VERSA M400) I measured the shutdown stall as 2.5 minutes at the "Shutting down ALSA" line, followed by some rapid error messages before shutdown. Todays update has made the PC go to a progress bar shutdown, pausing
